This is a flash game test I have been working on my free time to kill boredom since September; its beyond completed. This is only the basic engine I have laid out to build everything else later.

I have covered Map creation, Movement with basic animation, and basic inventory and I have begun to re-script the Battles.

It keeps me entertained and helps me to practice flash with help from the many tutorials found on internet. It has tons of bugs, but I still hope you find something to like about.

Hi! awesome game test! What software did you use for the pixel artwork?

Hi! thanks. Photoshop! Some professional Pixel artist says there are better sofwares out there for this kind of stuff; but PS is the only thing one I have.

I used GraphicsGale which is free and really good for pixel arts/animations. I'm also trying to improving my flash skills. I can't seems to get my ISO engine to do scrolling correctly, like add/remove tiles when they're off the screen.

I'm in the same Alley, Still trying to learn how to use 2.0 properly before jumping to AS3. How are you coding the Map? I just made an Array that removes certain tiles when they are too far away from the character, Well they actually don't remove the tile, just changes it for a blank Movie Clip, that reduce the weight of the Movie.

I think you should jump to AS3 soon, because the switch going to hurts you later (like me). For me I just removechild when tiles are far off the from screen, and addchild back when the hero get closer.

I don't know where to start! But I guess i'll have to learn 3.0 eventually.

Now, I watching you; hope to see your ISO engine soon.
